These are the days when I wish I had long hair

This weekend, Dashing’s cousin will be getting married – a black tie event. Dashing will look dashing in his full bow-tie tux and 5 o’clock shadow. I will showcase a cocktail length black fitted dress with classic sleeves and a great  pair of black patent leather peep-toe heels………AND sporting my I-didn't-choose-it short hair style/cut. I never have been a short haired girl, so that's what makes this even tougher. To me, events like this scream for me to have long hair (Hence, I wore a long wig at my own wedding).

Those days will never leave my memory, and my hair is still a constant physical reminder of what happened only 18 months ago.

These are the days when I wish I had long hair - long hair because it would mean this never happened.

BB...I wish for you that you had the long hair you deserve. I know those signature locks will be back someday and I'm just so thankful that you're open and amazing enough to share these feelings with your friends and your blog-readers. I love you very much...and hell, break out that beautiful wig from your wedding if you feel like it! Sending a big rock hug your way...
Love, Emily

Oh girl, I'm crying. I'm not sure if you have read on my blog about my niece Kellan who is going through treatment for medullablastoma (brain tumor/cancer). She is at the peachfuzz stage of regrowth but just started her oral chemo so her hair is going to fall out again. I have very long hair. I absolutely love my hair but I decided I am going to donate it to locks of love in honor of my niece. She is four so it isn't a HUGE deal to her not to have hair but I want to do it anyway. I'd give you my hair if I could! You want it? :) My friend measured my hair this weekend and I have about 14 inches to donate.

Sara, you constantly astound me with how brave you are...feeling comfortable to write these things that are so difficult to you. I hate that something so innocent as long hair harbors such emotion and memories for you, but it is so understandable. I am in constant awe though of how comfortable you are with your short, adorable hair. Know that while short hair to you sometimes indicates hardship for you, to me your short hair continues to be an inspiration to me. I only wish I could grow to be as strong as you are.
Lots of love!

You are amazing! Thank you for sharing this and know that it's ok for you to be angry. What you've been through isn't fair. Thank goodness you're here to write about it though! You rock!

1. I think your hair is positively adorable. 2. long hair is overrated...trust in this. 3. you're healthy and beautiful and that goes a long way. Congrats to you!

P.S. LC has hired help to make her hair look amazing. You don't (I think?!) and your hair looks amazing. (wink, wink)
